- Mission Grove Pipeline Replacement Project
Western Water is replacing water pipelines in a phased approach on Cannon Road, Stanhope Lane, Mission Grove Parkway, and Sunridge Drive in the City of Riverside in early 2023. The pipelines in this area are old and past their useful life. Ruptures of the aged pipelines result in service interruptions to our customers. The frequency of these ruptures has been increasing. As part of our capital improvement plan, we have identified these streets as critical focal points.
Repaving of the above-affected streets will occur from July 17 to July 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
*The construction timeline is subject to change and is meant to be an estimate. Various conditions, for example, weather or material shortages, could delay the project. Western Water will do its best to keep residents, businesses, and affected stakeholders updated should the timeline adjust.
Once the pipelines are replaced, they will limit emergency water outages and provide continued water reliability.
During most of the construction period, traffic flow will be open in both directions, and driveway access will remain uninterrupted. No parking signs have been placed on the street during specific times to enable the crew to move efficiently without requesting vehicle movement. We appreciate your cooperation during this phase of the project.
During working hours, you can expect to see large equipment, cones, and general construction noise.
Construction started on Cannon Road on March 6, 2023, and will continue to occur during regular working hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, Monday through Friday. Work will be completed in phases.
Mission Grove Parkway: construction started May 1, 2023
Sunridge Drive: construction started May 22, 2023
The entire project, including repaving the streets, will be completed by August 2023.
