Think Before You Flush

Clogged Pumps
Although the packaging may say an item is flushable, there is currently no widely accepted definition of what constitutes a flushable consumer product. That baby wipe may flush down your toilet, but if it doesn’t break down or if it balls up with other flushed wipes, it can clog smaller sewer pipes or get caught in equipment at the wastewater treatment plant. This could lead to wastewater backups and costly repairs. Please toss used wipes in the trash can or diaper pail.

No Drugs Down the Drain
Please don't flush unused or expired drugs down the drain. For better ways to dispose of medicines, check out No Drugs Down the Drain.
